Driving Organizational and Community Change: Social Mobilization and Manging Up
In this session, participants will examine the importance of having a voice in the decision-making process, learn effective ways to navigate through organizational silos and political pitfalls’ and identify the type of presence and influence required to build and maintain a diverse network of relationships to ensure that your public health organization is consistently implementing behavioral, social, and communication sciences best practices. One of the greatest influences on institutional change comes from partners and stakeholders outside your organization. Learn how to build those relationships and how to engage diverse partners and community groups, including faith-based organizations, in ongoing organizational improvement, as well as the importance of connecting with communities and constituents as part of the decision-making process.
